How did you meet?

We met working together at a restaurant – I was a cocktail waitress and Rupert was a chef. Rupert often tried to get my attention by bribing me with food, which totally worked! We quickly realised we had many shared travel interests, which slowly evolved into a relationship and the rest is history!

When did you know they were the one?

When we first started dating, I remember one night when I called Rupert while out partying with some lame story about how cold it was in the venue. I didn’t think much of it, but when Rupert showed up to the bar with a jacket and 2 scarves to keep me warm, I nearly lost the plot. I don’t think my heart could have exploded anymore in that moment, as it was truly such a thoughtful and Rupert thing to do! I knew he was a keeper after that night!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner

His unwavering patience, gentle kindness, and shared passion for travel and culture.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with the Georgie when I first came across it on Instagram! From then, I knew it was one to keep an eye on, and of course instantly fell in love with it when I tried it on at the MWL Sydney boutique.

Who proposed and how?

Rupert planned a surprise trip to New Zealand! He took me on a helicopter ride to a snow top glacier in Queenstown and popped the question amongst the most magical view I have ever seen. I was absolutely shocked and nearly caused an avalanche with my reaction.

Where did you go to Honeymoon?

We had a mini pre honeymoon in Bali the week after our wedding, but are planning a longer honeymoon next year to spend a few months traveling around Africa!
