How did you meet?

We met at a bar in Radford University when he was working as a bouncer, I knew the second I saw him I had to approach him and get to know him more.

Who proposed and how?

We went to Mexico for our five year anniversary. We were getting ready for dinner when he played our song and got down on one knee on the balcony overlooking the ocean.

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

Saying “I do”. Although there were 120 guests, it felt like it was only me and him standing there together with my Uncle officiating. I was anxious to write our own vows, but it was beyond special.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I love this story so much. I set up three appointments in Georgetown for wedding dress shopping. Lovely was my first appointment and Tommy was the very first dress I ever tried on. I knew immediately it was THE ONE. After going to all of my appointments, I ended up back at Lovely so excited to take Tommy home with me.

What surprised you most at or about your wedding?

Before COIVD was a thing, we decided to plan a backyard wedding from the start. I am surprised how wonderful and perfect it turned out! It was a dream and I want to relive it each day.

What advice would you tell other brides?

After the ceremony, take a private moment with your new husband or wife, away from all the guests, away from family and friends, just to spend some alone time and soak up the fact that you’re officially married! Once the reception begins, alone time is almost impossible.
