Josie + David
How did you meet?
We knew each other from growing up in South Gippsland, even our families grew up playing sport together. We ran into each other at a mutual friend’s 30th.
When did you know they were the one?
We had the same values, we adored our family and shared similar interests (AFL, wine, cooking and quality time with friends and family).
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner
Caring, funny and also fun-loving.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
It was the first gown I tried on, I wanted timeless, classic and elegant. We ended up going on another shopping day & I could not get the MWL Billie gown out of my thoughts.
Who proposed and how?
Dave proposed at a surprise picnic at Mt. Ophir estate in Rutherglen on good Friday. He told me he had arranged a picnic with our accommodation as he told them it was our anniversary. It was a great story to throw me off any thoughts of him proposing.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
Taking time together to soak it all in. We had all our favourite people in one place, celebrating us.
What surprised you most at or about your wedding?
How fast the day went. The best day of our lives and it went by so fast. We also loved seeing the genuine emotion on people’s faces during our speeches.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Take it all in, enjoy it, we made our planning stress free & we had fun along the way.
What was the one thing you did differently for your wedding?
We had our miniature schnauzer join us at the ceremony it was a bit of a surprise for some people. We also had an epic cheese tower and donut wall for our desert features.
