How did you meet?

We met through Josh’s best mate whilst in high school. We started chatting over text and then met up for a date at the movies.

When did you know they were the one?

We have been together now for over 10 years and there probably wasn’t one moment but a lot of small moments that made me realise I had met my soul mate.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Josh is a calming soul who always sees the best in people and loves our family.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had fallen in love with all the Made with Love dresses and couldn’t wait to go to specific boutique in Tasmania that stocked MWL. The Harlie dress was the first dress I tried on and after about 6-7 other dresses it was the one I came back to. My bridesmaids knew it was the one the second I tried it on.

Who proposed and how?

When it came to the proposal, Josh had a beautiful plan. It was New Years Eve in 2017 on Nine Mile Beach in Dolphin Sands with the stunning Hazards in the background. We were heading away for a few days enjoying staying with my best friend and her partner at his parent’s house in Swansea. Josh was determined we leave early before to stop for a leisurely walk along the way. Secretly resisting the idea, I really couldn’t be bothered, but Josh was insistent and despite finding it very odd, I relented.

We stopped at Nine Mile Beach and started to walk along the beach. It was over 25 degrees and Josh was wearing lace up dress shoes. Still finding his behavior incredibly strange, I had no idea what was going on. I indicated to him that I thought his shoes might be a little much for a walk along the beach, in fact I told him he would look like an absolute idiot! Falling perfectly into his trap, Josh acted surprised and instructed I to go on without him while he changed into his thongs back at the car.

After a walk along the beach all of sudden Josh stepped in front of me and without saying a word, got down on one knee. Then he produced the most stunning pear-shaped diamond ring, spectacularly sparkling in the sun and asked me to marry him, of course it was a YES!
