Joanna + Nicholas

How did you meet?

Nick and I were actually plus ones on our friends blind date, we hit it off straight away and the rest is history!

How did you know he was the one?

Very quickly after we met, nick went away with the army and we were pretty much left to get to know each other talking on the phone and messaging, I knew quite soon into it he was the real deal, he was just so  kind and genuine.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His kindness, humor and his ability to bring out the best in me.

Who proposed and how?

Nick proposed to me by recreating our first proper date, which was on a beach front high ropes course, I plummeted multiple times before he managed to pop the question!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

As soon as I tried Stevie on I was in love, I’d tried on at least 50 dresses and nothing was making me feel like a bride. As soon as I tried on Stevie my mum and I both started crying because we knew it was the perfect dress!

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

I really enjoyed sharing our vowels with each other and our loved ones, it was really special to share that moment of pure love with each other and those we love the most.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t get caught up in the small things and really try to take the time to enjoy your day, after all the planning you really deserve to enjoy your day!

What did you do differently?

We really tried to keep our guests engaged, we held a scavenger hunt game where the guests involved had to find random items in the room, with the last one each round being eliminated, it was a great ice breaker and really kept people engaged.
