Jessie & Daniel
How did you meet?
When I first moved interstate I was looking for adventure and a break from reality – little did I know that this break from reality would turn into an adventure of a lifetime. I don’t remember the first time I saw Daniel, but I do remember his frequent visits to the front office of the school where I was working. Mr Samanes was the very polite, well spoken PE teacher, and his friendly charm soon became the highlight of my days. I had every intention of moving back home at the end of the year and there was nothing that could make me stay. Nevertheless, over the next 6 months, Daniel patiently persisted… and I’m so glad that he did, because I can’t imagine my life any other way than how it has turned out.
When did you know he was the one?
I knew Daniel was the one when I had to make the decision to either move back interstate to my home town or stay and pursue a life with him. I missed home so much but I knew that I would miss Daniel more. His huge heart and caring and compassionate soul inspires me to be a better person everyday.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I always knew that I would wear a MWL design on my wedding day, but I had so many favourites that I just had to try them all on. When Daniel and I got engaged the first thing I did was book an appointment at the Gold Coast boutique with my sisters (bridesmaids) and my mum. I absolutely loved every single dress that I tried on, and I started to wonder how on earth I was going to chose just one… and then there was Harper. As soon as I looked at my reflection in the mirror I was in complete admiration, especially when the stylist draped the Charlie veil across my back. The dress hugged and complementing every curve (I couldn’t stop looking at my butt in the mirror! haha). When I turned around to get the approval from my mum and sisters, they were speechless with tears welling in their eyes.
Where did you go to Honeymoon?
We booked our honeymoon a few days after the wedding and decided on Bali. We spent 2 quality weeks together at home before jetting off for a week of relaxation in Legian and Uluwatu, where we stayed in gorgeous villas and suites while taking advantage of the food, cocktails, pools and amazing views.
