How did you meet?

My friend needed a girl sub for her touch football mixed team and asked if I could play. Tom was playing on the team and I was first drawn to his cheeky smile that would flash when he executed a move on the field.

When did you know they were the one?

I am not really one to have someone who ‘ticks boxes’ but everything he values and stands for are everything I value and stand for. So when you have that winning combination, plus you’re very attracted to the person, it was easy to know he was the one. He also knows how to both ground me and make me feel special.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner

His unwavering support, his love of our life together and his cooking.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had already purchased a dress from another designer and then Zylah popped up on Insta and I instantly fell in love. It was getting close to our wedding so I emailed MWL and asked if it was possible to even have Zylah made for me in time, and they confirmed it was possible. So I went to the Gold Coast that weekend, tried it on and fell in love. I fell in love with Zylah because of her gorgeous back, the detailed lace which had the illusion of looking delightfully simple from afar but also being so beautiful and detailed up close (best of both worlds), which was completed by the gorgeous ribbon around the waistline. Also, most importantly, it had sneaky sparkling detail close up!

Who proposed and how?

We went to Moreton Island with a group of friends for the Easter Break and were having drinks at sunset when he asked if I would go for a walk with him. He had picked the spot where he wanted to propose but didn’t factor in how long it would take to walk there and was just talking absolute rubbish on our ‘walk’, so I kept asking why the walk was necessary right at this moment…until he got to the spot he wanted, got down on one knee and popped the question. We then walked back to all of our friends and celebrated.
