Jessica + Corey
How did you meet?
We knew of each other for a few years through university and sport. We officially met by going on a dinner date together.
When did you know they were the one?
I knew Corey was the one from our very first date together. He was so easy to talk to and get along with and not to mention how much we had in common! I remember being so nervous and thinking that I did not want to mess this one up!
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner
My favourite attributes of Corey would be his ability to care, his enthusiastic approach to life and his ability to bring out the best in everyone and everything.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I fell in love with my dress on the MWL Instagram page. It was love at first sight! I wanted something elegant and simple and who could resist a backless dress with all of this. The Georgie in crepe was for me.
Who proposed and how?
I had just finished work one Saturday afternoon and Corey said to me let’s go out to the Grampians for a walk. I was pretty tired and tried to find an excuse to not go but how could you resist a stroll in the Grampians! So we cruised out there and I must add it was an awkwardly quiet trip! We walked an incredible trail to the Balcony’s. When we got to the top we took some time to soak up the view. At this point one of my best friends (who I hadn’t seen for a long time) appeared at the top. I was so excited to see her that i think I totally wrecked all of Corey’s plans of proposing on top of the mountain. We all walked back down together, Corey was so quiet. When Mon left, Corey pulled me aside to another viewing area from the car park and dropped down on one knee. Best moment ever! We laugh every time we think about our proposal story haha.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
We got some advice from close friends to take a moment together just to watch everyone. It was incredible watching everyone enjoy themselves and all our wedding plans fall perfectly into place.
What surprised you most at or about your wedding?
I was surprised with how much fun our wedding actually was. We had a cocktail style wedding that turned into a big party. This is what we wanted, our band totally rocked!
What advice would you tell other brides?
Definitely take a moment with your husband and sit back and watch everyone enjoy themselves at your wedding. There is so much planning, organising and of course money that goes into it. Its just so nice to just sit back and see it all come together.
What was the one thing you did differently for your wedding?
We chose to have photos before our ceremony. We all know how quick time flies when your having fun, we didn’t want to miss a beat. And we wanted to spend as much time as possible with our guests. We had a first look shoot where we got some amazing shots.
