Jemma + Isaac

How did you meet?

8 years ago, through mutual friends.

When did you know they were the one?

There wasn’t a particular moment, rather just a knowing that we were meant for each other.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Isaac is hard working and has such a strong work and life ethic.
He has a calm approach to life and reminds me what is truly important. He has taught me to go with the flow, forget about tomorrows worries, and just live in the moment.

Who proposed and how?

Isaac asked me to marry him as we watched the sunset at the Port Willunga Cliffs.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I first tried Archie on at Adelaide Bridal Collective. I knew straight away that it was the dress for me! Simple and timeless.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

It was drizzling with rain as I walked down the aisle.. The first part of our ceremony was a prayer from Isaacs grandfather. The second he spoke, the sun came out, it was such a beautiful moment!
Also taking a step away from the dance floor with Isaac, and seeing all of our family and friends having the best time laughing and dancing under the festoon lights.

What were your favourite details?

The unique welcome sign that Isaac made out of a tree slab.
Having each others siblings as our bridal party, and both of our dads drive us to the wedding in their classic cars.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Select suppliers that you trust to take control. Don’t sweat the small stuff, be present, and soak up every minute!

Any standout vendors?

Our makeup artist (@makeupby_allyy) – not only is her work incredible, but she is such a beautiful person and made the wedding morning so enjoyable.
Our photographer & videographer (Mish & Kirk from Wild Boho Weddings). They made us feel so comfortable and went above and beyond for us!
