Jaime + Taylor

How did you meet?

We met on Hinge and set our first date 48 hours after chatting. First date was fish and chips from a Fish Called Coogee and a picnic on the North Coogee Cliffs in Sydney.

When did you know they were the one?

Taylor knew I was the one when I agreed to move to QLD after only knowing each other for 5 months. For me, it was a mixture of moments we shared, his incredible communication and our aligned values. He always supported my dreams and I supported his, and that’s what made the bond strong.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Taylor’s generosity, cheekiness and drive.
Jaime’s bubbly personality, mothering instincts (we have a 2 year old), and my singing.

Who proposed and how?

Taylor proposed in Sydney centennial park when we organised a family photo shoot with our son who was 4 months old. At the end of the photo shoot Taylor took my hand and surprised me, Benji and our photographer with his proposal.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I first fell in love with my dress online, and then when I tried it on in the MWL Brisbane store it was a deeper love. I really liked the simplicity and classy lines of the Hendrix, but also the subtle feminine additions with the bows. I am very feminine and the little hint of “fairytale” made the dress for me.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our ceremony!
Seeing everyone we loved there and sharing our vows. We also trained our son to say “I do” on the microphone when we shared our legal vows and that melted everyone’s hearts.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. No one will remember what candles you used, or colour napkins.
But maybe don’t plan your wedding in the middle of of Queensland summer. Our wedding day was 37 degrees and I have never been so sweaty than my wedding day. Not ideal!
