How did you meet?

We met travelling around Southeast Asia, specifically Vietnam. And travelled together for the next 3 months through the Phillipines & Indonesia. Just as friends the first trip. We met back up in Asia again 10 months later and our relationship took off from then.

When did you know they were the one?

After a few months of travelling together we went our seperate ways, only to be brought back together again, and a 3rd time. The universe kept bring us together. It’s a crazy love story, but I knew by the second time we were meant to be.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His positive nature & energy, his love for travel, and his ability to accomplish his goals.

Who proposed and how?

He proposed on a holiday road trip in Uluru, the center of Australia! We booked to see the field of lights, a beautiful art installation that lights up near Ayers Rock! We had nibbles and sunset drinks at, then wandered down to wander through the lights. At some point I turned to Adam to ask him to take a photo and he was down on his knee! No one was around us at the time, so was so special to have the moment together as the lights were changing colours all around us.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Brides by design in Perth! I had been following Made with love on socials, and this shop is the only one that stocked MWL. I knew straight away! I knew the sequins and lace would be stunning in Greece. I loved the low back and how comfortable the dress was.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I’m originally from the USA and Adam is from Australia. We’ve been together 8 years and our families have not met each other yet. Adam had met everyone on the few trips we took over to the States, but the timing was never quite right. It was amazing to have our loved ones together finally in the most beautiful location!

A close second … We did not have a bridal party, so we did our photo shoot before the ceremony. That way once the ceremony was finished we could stay with our guests. This was so special to us as we had so much fun at the different locations around the island, and got to take it all in before making it official!

What advice would you tell other brides?

I was told to slow down, take it all in. No matter how many times I looked around and took a deep breath in, it still goes by so quick. Enjoy every second. And.. something is always going to go wrong rather is minor or major… just roll with it. It’s still perfect in its own way in the end!
