Hunter + Stephen

How did you meet?

Stephen and I met in college through a mutual friend. We were instantly drawn to each other and developed a friendship that lasted for a year before we officially got together.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew very early on, I missed him terribly when we had to spend any time apart. Stephen is my best friend. He’s the person that I trust more than anyone in this world. He truly can make every day brighter and better.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His loyalty, patience and humor.

Who proposed and how?

Stephen proposed to me on the overlook in Mount Washington in Pittsburgh. My best friend and future maid of honor was there with us at the time and captured it all on video. I uploaded the proposal video on tik-tok and we actually ended up going viral.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress at Blanc de Blanc bridal in Pittsburgh. I was instantly drawn to all of the MWL dresses because of their classic and chic style. I knew as soon as I put on my Ryder Crepe that it was the one. The deep v in the front and back were gorgeous and I was obsessed with the fit of the dress.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

As my husband and I sat at our sweetheart table at the beginning of the reception we took a moment and looked around and how many people loved and celebrated us and both felt pure joy. It was the best feeling in the world to finally be married to my best friend and to get to celebrate it with all of our favorite people.

What were your favourite details?

We had so many details that I was obsessed with! We had custom luxury sugar cookies made as favors for our guests that also marked their seat. We had a beautiful floral chandelier hanging over the dance floor with bulb lighting throughout. We had an audio guest book that our guests enjoyed immensely!

What advice would you tell other brides?

My number one piece of advice is to enjoy the day and the process. Wedding planning can be stressful but ultimately the day will be perfect because you will be married to your best friend. All the other details will work themselves out

Any standout vendors?

Our entire wedding team was AMAZING. We hired Lorenda Howell Events as our planner who coordinated our day flawlessly and helped bring our wedding vision to life more beautifully than I could have ever imagined. Our florist, Petersburg Petals created the most amazing arrangements and details. Our photographer Chelsey Rocha and our video team Elevated Media both produced images and film that we will cherish for the rest
our lives.
