How did you meet?

My husband Teddy and I met in Boston (where we both live) at a non-profit fundraiser that I was working at. It took him 8 months to ask me out, but it was well worth the wait! I knew there was something special about him the moment I laid eyes on him and I just couldn’t shake his image from my mind for the longest time. Eventually, fate brought us back to together and the rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew very early on—so early in fact that I kept it to myself because I was a little embarrassed. Everything with Teddy was different. It just clicked. The headaches, uncertainty, petty games, etc. that I had grown accustomed to while dating in Boston just weren’t a part of our relationship. It was the first time that I felt 100% confident in how I felt about a man and how they felt about me. My relationship with Teddy is somehow the perfect balance between the most exciting adventure of my life and the unparalleled comfort of home.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner

Teddy is the kindest man I have ever known so that takes the cake as number one. Number two would be his ability to always be present in life. I am a planner and a worrier and he does an amazing job balancing out those traits in me. Number three is that he cooks and cleans! (Talk about hitting the jackpot!).

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Truthfully, I saw Sienna on instagram and I just knew. I had been looking for a few months to no avail. Everyone told me I’d go into a bridal shop looking for one dress or one style and end up with something completely different. Not the case here! I knew Sienna was my dress immediately. I found my nearest stockist and purchased the dress the day I tried it on. It was love at first sight

Who proposed and how?

Teddy proposed to me in Vermont and completely caught me off guard. He made our trip seem very last minute (claiming that his parents had cancelled on us that weekend so we should go visit mine instead). It turns out the whole thing was a hoax and after the proposal, we drove to my grandmother’s house and both of our immediate families were waiting with champagne to celebrate. He even flew in my best friend from NYC to join. It was the surprise of a lifetime.
