Harrie + Jamie

How did you meet?

Jamie and I met at work in 2017. It took until 2019 for us both to realise that we both liked one another! After that the rest was history and we married in September 2022.

When did you know they were the one?

I admired Jamie for a long time, it wasn’t until I learned that he felt the same way that we really relaxed around one another and became the closest of friends and now husband and wife!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Caring, strong willed and not being afraid to be a fool around me.

Who proposed and how?

Jamie proposed, on a dog walk that I had planned so I couldn’t be suspicious. I’m a nightmare for sniffing out secrets!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Harlow was the first dress I saw online that I loved. I went to Kiva and Zen in Exeter and tried her on with Kelly and was totally in love. Kelly was amazing and made my experience so special. I had a custom silk chiffon overskirt made for the ceremony.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Looking back at all our guests, who had come from far and wide to celebrate Jamie and I, feeling so grateful for each and every one of our lovely friends and family.

What were your favourite details?

I loved the 3D petals on the dress and the train. But most of all, the gorgeous low back with the semi-transparent lace and belt. Just perfect.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Honestly, don’t fixate on losing weight for your wedding day. You will look your happiest and most beautiful just being you <3 Bring your most comfortable self on the day is most important.
