How did you meet?

We met 13 years ago, I was an employee at his smoothie business. We worked together for 6 years and then after that, we lost touch for 5 years. In 2020, we reconnected and decided to pursue a relationship together.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew he was the one after many months of him pursuing me. He was so fun to be around, but I was worried about overstepping boundaries and letting my guard down. I trusted him and felt comfortable enough to show him sides of me no one has ever seen.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

1.) He always knows how to lighten the mood, and makes me laugh.
2.) He is consistent with his feelings and words of affirmation.
3.) He loves deeply.

Who proposed and how?

He proposed a year after dating. He set up a private engagement shoot at an apple orchard in September. He included my four sisters in the proposal and it was a dream. He then took me to the vineyard where we had our first date and surprised me with 60 of our closest friends and family to celebrate our engagement.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I have had my dress picked out and saved on my Instagram for many years. I fell in love with the elegance and simplicity of the dress. I also loved how classy and sleek this dress was and knew it would be very appealing with my curves. I chose to pick a couple of stores near my hometown to try a wide variety of dresses (just to see if I liked a different style). After many attempts of trying on dresses, I couldn’t find the dress I wanted. I kept comparing every dress to this specific one. It was then, I knew that I needed to find a retailer that sold this specific dress and try it on. It was the last dress I tried on, and I knew it was the one along with all of my sisters.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment was seeing my husband for the first time when I walked down the aisle. I was so nervous, but when I saw him, I felt at ease. It felt like it was just us two and no one else existed.

What were your favourite details?

My favourite details were the florals and the sparkler fountains. I told my wedding planner I was looking for a boho chic vibe with coffee colors.

What advice would you tell other brides?

My advice would be to relax and enjoy the day. Take everything in and just be grateful you have made it to your destination. Also, don’t stress about the things that cannot be controlled. In the end, the day is about you and your husband and no one else. Everyone you invited just wants to be there to celebrate the love you share for each other.

Any standout vendors?

My wedding planner did an incredible job making our dreams come to life. Her name is Veronica Sennikova and her business is EventConcept. I gave her a list of ideas and pictures, and she delivered. She truly outdid herself. She also owns the flower business listed. Her work is truly incredible and my guests could not stop raving about the florals. In addition, my photographer/videographer truly delivered with our photos and made our day so special.
