How did you meet?

Will and I met in the first year of uni, and despite studying different degrees we found eachother. We were great friends for a very long time before there was any romance!

When did you know they were the one?

After 7 years of friendship I found myself single, and we decided to take the plunge and give things a go. From the start of our relationship I think we both just knew! We had such a solid foundation as friends that taking that next step felt so easy and we’ve just been so happy ever since!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His kindness, the way he treats me and others in his life. He is supportive, and always makes me feel like his number one priority and I know he is always in my corner. And his sense of humor, he never fails to make me laugh and we just have the most fun together

Who proposed and how?

Will carried around the ring in his backpack for 4 weeks while we travelled Europe together. Finally (and to my complete surprise) he proposed privately in our accommodation in Santorini, overlooking the beautiful cliffs. It was perfect.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Made with Love was the first retailer I went to, and the wonderful staff made it such a perfect and special experience. After trying on a number of beautiful but not quite right for me dresses, I tried Florence on last. This one was different and I knew she was the one! It was a whole moment, there were tears.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The whole time planning I think we were both nervous for the ceremony, it felt so daunting to recite our soppy heartfelt vows in front of our closest friends and family. But in the moment it all just went away and it felt like it was just us up there. You just can’t prepare for how special that moment is, and debriefing after the wedding it was both of our favourite part

What were your favourite details?

Before the wedding my mum surprised me by having a a necklace made for me using a diamond from my grandmas ring. Wearing it on the day was so special, being able to feel she was a part of the day too

We also wrote our vows together in the lounge room, they were a surprise on the day but it was a lovely moment of the planning together

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t stress about getting all the tiny details perfect! You have done enough planning and if somethings don’t go exactly to plan it will still be the most perfect day! Also to soak it all in and be present in every moment, it goes by so fast so make sure you enjoy it!

Any standout vendors?

So many! All of our vendors were incredible and our day wouldn’t have been what it was without their talents. Steph our wonderful florist who saw our vision from the start and brought it to life better than we imagined. The effortlessly funny and charismatic Georgia Mills our celebrant, who helped us tell our story. The incredible Megan our hair and makeup artist who made me feel like a princess. And of course our beautiful and immensely talented photographer Georgia who captured it all.
