Georgia + Daniel

How did you meet?

Me & Dan both met on a works meeting in Brighton, he messaged thanking me for the add on Facebook afterwards and we spoke every day from then on!!
Dan always said when we were dating that he didn’t want a girlfriend (I like a challenge) so we kept us dating a secret for a while with mystery flowers arriving at my work and me telling my parents I was going to see ‘my friends’ but that didn’t last for long! We bought our first house together 2 years later, Dan proposed 2 years after that with in the intention that we would get married in 2020 but Covid put a stop to that, so we postponed for a second time got our little fur baby Milo and then finally got married in September 2021!!

When did you know they were the one?

We just clicked straight away. Same sense of humour (obviously hilarious) and we were both on the same page and wanted the same things out of life as each other, we have always just made the best team. (biased I know)
As Dan didn’t want a ‘girlfriend’, I played it as cool as I could and waited for Dan to say the L word first!!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

My three favourite attributes for Dan would be his sense of humour, his loyalty & his kindness. We laugh together every day and that is really important to me. Dan is also the most loyal person you could ever meet and I know I will always be in safe hands with him! If you have Dan in your corner he will do anything for you.

Who proposed and how?

Dan proposed when we were on holiday in Mykonos at the 180 sunset bar. We were watching the sun go down and he asked someone to ‘take a picture of us’ and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
Everyone was taking pictures and videoing so we have pictures too which is so special.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I always knew I wanted something lacey, as I love a pattern or print apposed to anything plain. I started dress shopping early as I knew I wanted to stretch the process out for as long as possible as its so much fun dressing up! Chloe Lloyd’s wedding dress was my inspiration as I loved the lace and the 3D aspect. I went to The Wedding Club in London with 3 of my bridesmaids as I had seen the Carla & Stevie dress and wanted to try it on as it was exactly what I thought I wanted and I was right! Due to having to postpone our wedding, when I was ready to say yes to the dress I went to the new MWL store in Bermondsey and decided to go with the Stevie Dress and matching veil! The Carla dress was a strong contender as I loved the 3D leaves but I decided to add this onto my Stevie dress to make it my own and it was exactly as I had dreamed it would be!
Thank you Tove for all your help!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I absolutely loved the ceremony, and to look around and know that everyone is there to celebrate you both was just an amazing feeling. I was so worried about the weather as that is the one thing you don’t have control over, but it was so sunny and we were just so happy to have all of our families altogether in one place after the pandemic to celebrate with us.
