How did you meet?

We had grown up in similar friendship groups and had known of each other for a very long time. After a while, Matt had started engaging with all of my social media content which gave me the idea that he might be interested. Luckily, one day I decided to send him a message and the rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

Almost right away – it felt like we were the perfect fit for each other (despite living 4 hours apart). We messaged as frequently as we could every single day and always ended the days we weren’t together with a phone call. This has not changed now despite the 8 and a half years we’ve been together.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His unwavering support, his silly jokes and his ability to make me smile no matter what.

Who proposed and how?

He did and he did it in style! We had plans to stay at the Shangri-La in the Shard the night before my birthday in 2019. He told me he had booked for us to visit the viewing platform in the Shard that evening. Little did I know when we got there, it was just us, rose petals, candles and champagne. He even made the perfect playlist to play during our special moment.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had my eye on Made with Love for a while and visited Ava Louise Bridal in Southampton. I was quite picky during my dress shopping experience but as soon as I put on the Remi, I couldn’t find a single fault. The perfect dress for a modern day bride and the accessories (which were provided by Lauren Francis Bridal) made it even more perfect.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Seeing Matt at the end of the aisle, knowing I was about to marry my best friend. I thought I would be really nervous in this moment but I felt completely at peace, ready to finally become husband and wife.

What were your favorite details?

Our flowers were incredible, from my long stem white rose bouquet to the huge gypsophila and white rose arch.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Just enjoy the day – it will be the fastest day you will ever experience. Soak in the atmosphere, the love and support around you, it will never happen again.
