Evelyn + Trevor

How did you meet?

Our paths crossed at the infamous Falls festival of 2015 in Marion Bay Tasmania.
Where Trev a kind stranger at the time offered me his spare mattress so I would be more comfortable in my tent.
We then later officially met a few weeks later at a mates 18th through mutual friends, and have been together ever since, 8 years later.

When did you know they were the one?

I think it was just a few months in, when we started to get a bit more serious.
Everything became more cemented those few months later also as we were talking about our futures and whether we would be in each others as he was leaving Tasmania for work and we decided to do 2 years long distance, that’s when I knew.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

How kind-hearted, and passionate he is and how he always listens to my problems and tries to help fix them.

Who proposed and how?

In the spring of 2020 in a candle lit countryside Cabin.
Trev – found the perfect moment in time to get down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together and become his wife.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had my first appointment at the Made with Love Bridal on Stanley St. I first tried on my favorite the Elsie flowy and then tried the fitted Elsie which I fell in love with even more! The style the fit and glam everything! and it shaped my curves so well!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I think for me just seeing it all come to life all the planning and hard work had paid off just seeing it all and being there, knowing everyone who was there came for us and just us. That was truly special!

What were your favorite details?

The flowers! the little table arrangements that we planned, the cake everything!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t sweat the little things! Trust me as a very organized and slit control freak myself, no one will notice the little details in comparison to all the big stuff and they are all there to celebrate you both. I know its easier to say then do trust me. Also take time throughout the day and build up to everything by yourself and with your partner, to take a breath and stand back and watch what you have created, everyone is there for you and only you embrace that.

Any standout vendors?

Our photographer and videographer! they worked amazingly together and to be honest could hardly notice that they were there on the day capturing everything which we loved! Made the day so much more special and so smooth.
