How did you meet?

High School Sweethearts! Nolan + I have been together for 8 years!

When did you know they were the one?

From the moment we “officially” met! A year before we started dating my aunt asked me if I could date anyone in the whole school who would it be?! I quickly responded “I would date Nolan Huiras!!!” My older sister (who is in the same class as Nolan) quickly reminded me that “Nolan would NEVER date you…”

A year later he was walking out of basketball practice + my sister dared me to kiss his hand. (Weird request right :)) That was the best decision I have made because now I’m married to the best man in the whole world!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is the kindest, most goofy, loving person I know. His love for the Lord is something I admire about him too! 🙂

Who proposed and how?

Nolan proposed on the golf course. We play at the Mayflower Golf Course in Fairfax, MN a couple times a week. On the course, from hole 6 to 7 there is a bridge. Ever since we started playing there Nolan has always stopped + kissed me on the bridge.

Well August 4th – Nolan stopped on that bridge, got on his knee + asked me to be his wife after 8 years together. He included my Papa, who was the only person around with us! It’s a testament to the kind heart + love for my family that Nolan has!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress at A & BE in Minneapolis! Liv was my stylist + it was the first dress that I tried on!

Fun fact: the dress that I bought was the Ollie! My 4 year old Corgis name is OLLIE!!! It was meant to be!!!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The whole day was amazing! Such a dream – but officially being husband + wife in front of all of our family, friends + the Lord was the most magical moment!
