How did you meet?
A mutual friend set us up in college. Just a couple weeks after our first date I left for Poland and Sri Lanka. We’ve been inseparable ever since I came back!
When did you know they were the one?
His first trip with my entire family. We were in Mexico celebrating his, my aunts, and my uncles birthdays and my grandparents wedding anniversary!
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
His passion for things and people he loves. His positivity in every situation. Lastly, his ability to love everyone and everything.
Who proposed and how?
He proposed… but I definitely knew! He drove us to our favourite hiking spot on Lake Michigan and as we were pulling into the parking lot I saw my friend duck behind her car. (She was there to take pictures) I played it off like I didn’t see anything and we started on our hike. On our way back she didn’t know we were coming and we ran into her! I didn’t think he was going to do it after that. We stopped for a picture as a scenic overlook and he got down on one knee!
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
Buccis Bridal! I was initially attracted to the lace details but as soon as it was on my body, the dress was me in every way.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
The reception! Dancing, talking, and drinking with my new hubby, friends, and family was an amazing way to end that day.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Hire a day of coordinator and take a sleeping pill the night before! Both will help you de-stress!
What were your favourite details?
The centrepieces! They were simple and elegant. Our florist gave us everything we wanted and more!
