How did you meet?

We met at what used to be the Goldfish bar in Sydney. Back when the Kings Cross was a thriving hub for nightlife!

When did you know they were the one?

Jason was in the Navy when we met and went on several deployments whilst we were dating. We were tested in many ways, getting to know each other via long distance whilst he went away to the Middle east for a period of six months on two occasions. We quickly realised we are both very independant, we both have desires to live in many places; experiencing food and culture internationally and one day starting a family of our own. I realised Jason was the one on our second trip to New Zealand together to visit my family and friends. We have a lot of fun together! Most of our friends would describe us as being quite wierd together! we make each other laugh alot, and both share common values and interests.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Hardworking, Passionate, Adventurous

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I started researching whilst we were living in London… It was a long cold winter and by that time I was dreaming of returning to an Australian summer! I decided to book in to visit the St Ives boutique upon our return to try on several gowns. My heart was set on Sacha, but I was also really keen to try Harlie and Georgie. After describing the look I wanted to Kelly, she encouraged me to try Georgie which I did. My girlfriends and I both knew straight away, Georgie was the one. Timeless, elegant and beautiful, the perfect fit for my beach ceremony and cocktail/canape reception. I wore the Charlie veil which added to my gorgeous train and a touch of lace, which i just love!

Who proposed and how?

Three days into our trip over to Europe, Jason took me to the Burj Al Arab seven star hotel in Dubai. He booked in for us to enjoy cocktails at the sky view bar overlooking the Dubai skyline. He encouraged me to order dessert… The waiter approached us moments later with a dish enclosed by a lid… the waiter took away the lid, dry ice escaped and to my surprise the dish was covered in rose petals with a diamond ring in the centre. Jason went down on one knee and proposed by saying “You know I love you right!?”

Of course, I said Yes!

Where did you go to Honeymoon?

We enjoyed a pre-moon in the Sunshine coast prior to our week long stay in Byron Bay. We had a few days to relax after the wedding with our family and friends, most of whom travelled from afar NSW, QLD, SA, New Zealand… even Sweden!

We are planning a longer trip in a couple of years to South America.
