Ellen + Brendan
How did you meet?
We met 10 years ago at the local pub in Camden. I went outside for some fresh air and ended up running into a high school friend. After talking for a few minutes, Brendan approached him and said hello. He introduced us. I was immediately drawn in by his blue eyes. We started talking and did not stop talking all night. The next day, I added him on facebook, and the rest is history.
When did you know they were the one?
Almost immediately. We got along so well and had so many things in common. The conversation flowed so easy, we felt like we really knew each other. Our relationship evolved so beautifully and naturally.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
1. His bright blue eyes

Who proposed and how?
Brendan proposed on Valentines Day 2022. We had been together at this point for almost 10 years, so Valentines day was usually pretty quiet. He got home from work and told me he had a gift for me, told me to close my eyes, and when I opened them, Brendan was down on one knee with a beautiful ring. It was perfect, intimate and totally unexpected.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I first saw the Louie flowy when I saw searching on Instagram one night. I immediately fell in love with it and all the MWL dresses. It was exactly what I wanted and so unique, I have never seen anything like it before. I booked an appointment straight away. The Louie Flowy was the first wedding dress I tried on, and I bought it (I did try on other MWL dresses just to be sure- but I knew it was the Louie for me). I also had my heart set on having a long, curled pony tail, so the Ruby veil was perfect for this.
What was the best moment for you at your wedding?
That is a hard question to answer! All of it? Walking down the isle and seeing my future hubby for the first time was super special and emotional. The ceremony was beautiful and intimate. Getting photos with the bridal party was super fun! The entrances to the reception were HILARIOUS. And the whole reception with speeches and fun games were amazing.
But if I had to choose a single moment, I think it would be partying on the dance floor with all of my family and friends.
What were your favourite details?
The dress! Of course. The beautiful autumn colours in the flowers. The ruby veil, which perfectly showed off my pony tail. The amazing vendors. Having my dog at the ceremony. The music. Just..everything!
What advice would you tell other brides?
Trust your gut! Buy the dress that makes you comfortable and feel good! Enjoy and savor every moment! It goes very quick.
