How did you meet?
According to my hubby, he saw me in a photo my friend Morgan posted on Facebook and he made it his mission to find out who I was and to take me out on a date. He asked my friend multiple times to introduce us (many of which she ignored haha) until he wore her down and she finally planned a meeting for the three of us at a local dive bar (The Alley Cat in Bakersfield, CA). The rest is history.
When did you know they were the one?
It’s hard to pick an exact moment because he’s given me so many reasons why he’s THE ONE from the very beginning. I just love the way he loves me, for ME… imperfections and all. He is the first person I could be my true self around and he is the first person I could be 100% honest with. He’s my best friend and I have tunnel version for only him and that’s why I know he’s THE ONE.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner
His silliness/sense of humor, his trustworthiness & loyalty and his loving/affectionate nature.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
The “Carla” dress was one of the first wedding dresses I tried on…I tried on many other dresses, but none of them compared to the “Carla”! I eventually purchased my dress from Moondance Bridal in San Luis Obispo, CA. Best decision EVER!
Who proposed and how?
We were doing a couple’s photoshoot with my photographer friend Noe Ojeda (we’ve done photoshoots in the past, so I thought it was just for fun) … boy was I wrong! Ryan proposed to me at sunset on the beach in Cambria, CA. Obviously, my photographer friend was in on the proposal and we got some beautiful photos out of the deal. Then for Ryan’s final surprise, he said the two of us were going to a nice dinner, but he surprised me with our all our parents waiting for us at the restaurant to celebrate our engagement. Ryan, myself, and our parents live hours away from Cambria, so this took a lot of careful planning to get our families there without me finding out.
Where did you go to Honeymoon?
We haven’t gone on our honeymoon yet because my honey is in his first year of his master’s program. Don’t worry, we’re planning to spend our Christmas break on a secluded tropical beach somewhere!

My Bridal Bouquet was designed by Amanda Rounds at Shell Beach Floral Design. The rest our our floral was done by my amazing mother-in-law Kate Capela, her mother Lynda Steinbeck, and her best friend Andrea Massey. These ladies worked their butts off and our flowers looked amazing!

Rings/Jewelery:
Ryan had my engagement ring designed by a jeweler in the LA Diamond District and my wedding band was purchased at Jared the Galleria of Jewelry. We ordered Ryan’s Tungsten wedding band from an online retailer and I purchased 2 Qalo Silicon wedding bands for him because he’s an active guy and he plays hockey multiple times a week.
