Corrin + Chris

How did you meet?

Chris and I met at work as we are both Primary school teachers. I had been teaching there for 2 years and Chris had just started his first year of teaching.  One wouldn’t say we hit it off straight away, as Chris’ firsts thoughts of me were that I was very standoffish, however little did he know that at that particular time I was going through an extremely difficult situation.

It wasn’t until around September when our relationship began to develop over realising their common interests in fitness, going to the gym, spending time in cafes and enjoying the beach on a hot day. Chris first asked me to attend an F45 class with him and a few friends and that’s when our friendship began. During the summer of 2017, we attended a music festival and went on a holiday to Byron Bay. Finally, in March, Chris bit the bullet and asked me out. We managed to keep our relationship at work a secret for 2 years until Chris proposed in 2019.

How did you know they were the one?

Before Chris and I started dating, we would spend time together and I would tag along with Chris whilst he would do his grocery shopping. From those little moments I felt like we were together already and knew that this ‘friendship’ was going to go somewhere.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

I love how kind and gentle he is, and I love his cooking.

Who proposed and how?

Chris proposed to me down in Apollo Bay. He had organised a glamping weekend away and popped the question down near the water.

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

I was so nervous to walk down the aisle and be the centre of attention. I was freaking out all morning about the idea. I loved when I walked up to the first part of the isle and looked at Chris and he had a huge smile on his face. As soon as I got up there, he grabbed my hand and told me to breathe. I knew once I saw him and heard the sounds of the ocean waves, I would be ok, and I was.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had been eyeing off a few made with love dresses and knew that I was definitely going to make an appointment and try a few on. Rosy got released not long before my appointment and I knew when I saw her that she was going to be the one.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Don’t over think things. Just go with the flow.
