Chloe + Alex

How did you meet?

Alex and I met in Grade 8 where we went to the same high school. We clicked and did the whole high school boyfriend-girlfriend thing before going back to being good friends for the rest of high school. After school, we went our separate ways for our careers and two years later we re-connected. 5 years later here we are, married

When did you know they were the one?

We have always had a close connection but once we reconnected 2 years after school, we both knew how we felt for one another and have never looked back!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His cheeky personality, passion and always willing to help those that he loves.

Who proposed and how?

Alex proposed and it was the most special and intimate moment. We always go for a beach picnic whenever we can to enjoy each other’s company. It was our anniversary weekend when he proposed. Alex had set up a romantic picnic on the beach with cushions, flowers, drinks, and a nibbles platter, it all looked amazing. We were enjoying the picnic, watching the ocean and I was funnily busy talking about pelicans while Alex was waiting patiently on his knee for me to turn around. He eventually got my attention my saying my name ‘Chloe Ann’ he told me how much a he loved me and asked me to marry him. It couldn’t have been a more perfect moment

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with Huxley the minute I tried it on in the show room!! I originally tried the Huxley flowy on and thought I was set on that but at a second try on I tried the Huxley and there was no going back, I knew straight away that I loved every detail!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for me was our first dance, by far! It was raining on our wedding day and where we had the dance floor set up was in front of ‘MR & MRS KERSWELL’ light up letters outside so we did our first dance outside in the rain and it was the most magical moment of the entire night. All of our guests thought so too! I will include a pic from our first dance even with being rained on, Huxley help out amazingly!! You would never even know, she is still in perfect condition.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Just enjoy yourself, and don’t stress if it’s raining on your special day!! It just makes all of the moments more magical!! Also, take the time to sit back with your new hubby to watch your nearest and dearest enjoying their night.
