How did you meet?
We met at University at a laser tag student event. From the moment I won the game, I became irresistible to him.
When did you know they were the one?
Its hard to say a specific time but I knew it was special from the very beginning. He’s my best friend and I couldn’t imagine my life without him.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
He’s thoughtful, patient and kind.
Who proposed and how?Â
He proposed whilst we were on a trip to the Cairngorms in Scotland. He had planned a weekend away staying in a cute little pod. We had gone out and were at a viewpoint over looking an amazing landscape when I turned around and he was on one knee.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I had seen it on social media and instantly loved it. The closest bridal shop which stocked it was the amazing Coco + Kate but it was a 1 and a half hour drive. It was a slightly older design at the time but I knew I had to try it on. It was well worth the drive there, all the MWL dresses I tried on were stunning but there was just something about the Stevie dress that made it feel like mine.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
Mark had previously told me there was no way he would cry as I walked down the aisle as he ‘had never cried out of happiness before’. As I stepped out I saw he was in a bundle of tears, at which point I joined him and we were both an emotional wreck. It felt like such a special moment and like it was just us two in the room.
What were your favourite details?
There are just too many to pick a favourite. The flowers were gorgeous and the flower hoop she made in the tipi was just incredible. I absolutely loved our tipis and the venue totally blew us away.
What advice would you tell other brides?
After all the planning and time spent thinking about the day, just enjoy yourself. Try and forget about all the details, be present and take it all in.
Any standout vendors?
They were all incredible, the venue, the bar, the tipis, the flowers, the photographer, the seamstress, I could go on.
