How did you meet?

We met through Hinge/dating app (which seems wild now, I seriously cannot believe I met my husband this way but do not know how it would have happened another way since we both moved to the city without knowing other people). He was the first guy that didn’t “get on my nerves” with his texts or conversations and still hasn’t. We decided to meet for a drink one night after talking for a few weeks and have hung out every day since. We always wanted to hang out longer so we would ask each other to go for a “night cap” somewhere (I work until 10pm) and the rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

It was just easy. We didn’t have to worry about the other but just enjoyed each other’s company. We were fascinated by each other. Family is so important to me and they LOVE him. My cute nephews love him too which was wonderful. We just enjoy being together and spending time together and doing all activities/hobbies together. It is hard to answer this since it just felt right and we had been in other past relationships where it was so wrong.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His work ethic
His responsibility (I like to be slightly (not a lot) more carefree so we are a great balance)
This makes me sound bad, but his love for me. He would do anything for me and I am so dang lucky. I love having someone that will do the things I just dread to do in life. ANd i would do the same things for him!

Who proposed and how?

He proposed on a ski trip to Breckenridge, CO. We had been snow tubing that am but were planning to take pics for his mom’s yearly calendar at this ledge on the way back to our condo (she sends them to family in Germany since they move to USA when my husband was 5). She won’t accept pictures from a phone so his friend who went on the trip with us brought his nice professional camera for pictures. His friend was taking pictures of us when my now husband popped down on one knee. I had no idea. My parents also got to be there since one of my friends was not able to go last minute so they took their room 🙂

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I loved the dress online and went to the boutique to try one several MWL dresses, although I thought I liked lace/sparkle. I was completely wrong. When I tried on Archie I knew I loved the sleek design and the back is so amazing. It was the second dress I tried on and I kept going back to it.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Do not worry if everyone else is having fun at your wedding. I guarantee you they are and if not, o well, it is your wedding. I started to panic during my reception (no one knew except my mom thank goodness, since I only told her) because I just decided people are probably bored and that was definitely not the case. I do not know why I worried about it and there was no need!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

This is so impossible to decide. I really loved the entire day. The weather and humidity and all the details just came together perfectly and It was a fairytale, literally. I was able to have it at my grandparents bay house in Miramar Beach, FL and this was always a dream of mine so this was a wonderful start. My husband shedding a single tear was also an extreme deal (as he never cries or sheds a single tear, ever). It was a destination wedding for most of our guests so enjoying our friends for a few days and having our families meet (and getting along so well) was seriously so fantastic. The fantastic wedding and reception was icing on the cake!

Any standout vendors?

Really everyone. It was the perfect day but my videographer (Dalton Young Films), photographer (Sarah Larae photo), catering (Townsend catering), event coordinating(Elegant Pairings: Events by Nicole), florals(Forget me Knot), makeup(Sarah Ates makeup), hair(Caroline does hair), music(Mose Wilson; Wose_Milson)!. They did such an amazing job! My brother is a musician and performed my ceremony music and also reformed his old band when he lived in Florida to perform funk rock music for my ceremony. It was amazing and so special!
