Cassidy + Jesse

How did you meet?

We grew up together! He claims he started loving me in 7th grade. We dated all of our high school years, decided to go our separate ways for college & made our way back to each other a few years later.

Who proposed and how?

Jesse proposed in our kitchen with just the two of us at home. We had plans to go to dinner, he kept teasing me that it was going to be “the best night ever” the whole time I was getting ready. I walked into the kitchen & found him standing with one of the special bottles of bourbon we had hand dipped years ago and said we were saving it for a special occasion. I asked what he was doing (may have said a few cuss words) & he slid over the ring box on the counter and the rest is history.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Nancy’s Bridal Boutique in Indianapolis, Indiana

The city is a half way point between my family and my best friends so we all made the trip to spend the day and night together. My best friend found the Elsie and said I had to try it on. From the moment I came out in the dress, I knew no one was going to let me leave without that dress. It seemed like it was made for me, without me even knowing it!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

We had a mini destination wedding in Nashville, TN. We love the live music and vibrancy of the city and wanted to give everyone a fun weekend away, including a welcome party with live country music and a western theme. The day of it rained, all morning, but of course stopped right before our ceremony. Our ceremony was set to be outside and I wanted to try to keep it that way. Our planner encouraged me to trust her and she set it all up on the porch as a standing ceremony. We walked right through our best friends and family while they lined the tiny porch. It was the most intimate ceremony and celebration because we could truly feel everyone’s love and happiness for us.
