How did you meet?

We met at Peats Ridge Festival through a close friend. We stayed friends for a good few years and it wasn’t until we were both back in Australia from travelling that we went out for a beer and had a good ol’ passiona at the pub. We decided to hang out the next day and the next day and the next. We’ve been hanging out pretty much every day since.

When did you know they were the one?

The day we met at Peats Ridge. We both clicked straight away and were definitely crushing on each other. Once we started hanging out we realized how happy we made each other and had those warm fuzzy feelings.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner

I would have to say his contagious positive energy, sense of humour and honesty.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Lily grace bridal. I tried on so many dresses from other stores but to be honest, I already had set in my mind that I was not going to purchase anything until I tried on MWL. I fell in love with 3 other MWL dresses until I tried on ‘Harlie’ and it was the absolute winner. I was with my mother and bridesmaids and we cried the moment I tried this dress on. It was the one!

Who proposed and how?

Rob proposed! It was funny actually.

We were overseas for a friends wedding in Spain where he had intended on doing it but things didn’t go as planned (typical) and he was running out of time. It wasn’t until our last few days in Greece where he popped the question but not before he had a few shots of ouzo to settle the nerves.

We went to watch the sunset with cheese/wine and to take some photos of the beautiful view.

I had no idea the ring was sitting an arm’s length away from me on a rock the whole time. We were packing up and Rob decided to take a photo of the random rock (where the ring was sitting) and I thought he was just trying to get out of cleaning up! He showed me the photo on the camera and asked: “What is in the photo?” I replied, “it looks like a piece of s*#t.” The ring was in a brown case! He asked me to take another look and I replied, “Yep, it still looks like a piece of s*#t.” Rob was getting more nervous and just told me to turn around and LOOK! I literally lost it screaming. It was a definite YES and the ring is beautiful!!!

Where did you go to Honeymoon?

We went to Sri Lanka then to the Maldives as it’s somewhere we both hadn’t been before and it was absolutely incredible. Apart from doing the tourist ‘must do’s’ at the start of our trip, we surfed every day and chilled at the beautiful beaches down south!
