How did you meet?

Cam and I met in the 4th grade. He had a crush on me and gave me a homemade valentine from my “secret admirer”. We finally started dating going into high school and have been together ever since!

When did you know they were the one?

We dated for a long time – all through high schools, college and grad school. I can’t say there was one defining moment, but I do know that we both haven’t been able to imagine our lives without each other since we were very young

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is the most generous person I know. He would do anything for anyone at anytime!

He is hilarious and always has be laughing.

He is a family man. He adores his family and mine

Who proposed and how?

He proposed the weekend after I took my national board exam to be a physician assistant. I had been so busy studying he was able to plan an elaborate event without me catching on. He told me we were going to Dallas to celebrate! We pulled up to where I thought we were going to have dinner – then said he wanted to go grab a sunset pic real quick. I was suspicious at this point and my suspicions were right! I popped the question and when I turned around all our family and friends were there! We had a big after party at my grandparents. It was perfect!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I went dress shopping at A&be in Dallas. When I tried on my dress I didn’t want to take it off. My mom, grandma, sister and best friend were all teary. I just knew! I loved the off white coloring under the lace. And the feminine bows were just the perfect touch! It was sweet and sexy and unique – just fabulous!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Cams cousin officiated our wedding. He started to asked the questions before we say I do. He said Brittany “Will you take this man..” and I immediately blurted our “I DO!”. He then said… hold on I have a few more questions to ask.. we will get to that part. Everyone giggled. I was READY.

We also had a fabulous fireworks show that I will never forget. It was pure magic!

What were your favourite details?

I’m not a huge details person. Our details were very minimalist.

My aunt read a passage from my grandma’s bible. She had recently passed way, so it was very special to have a piece of her there with us that day. It was extra special reading from something that meant so much to her.

We had nontraditional bridesmaids bouquets that were just pompous grass and greenery! They were beautiful!

We love popsicles and had a popsicle truck at the wedding!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Take in the day and don’t stress about the little things. Take selfies, spend time with all your friends and family that are there to celebrate you, and enjoy every moment! Hire the photographer you want because your pics are going to last a lifetime. Steal all the kisses you can because kissing your husband on your wedding day is just the best!
