How did you meet?
We met at a beach, Mike asked me to go on a date and the rest is history.
When did you know they were the one?
I never believed in soulmates until I met Mike, I thought that being in a relationship was always going to be hard work. We became pretty inseparable right from the start!! Everyday I’m with Mike are the best days of y life, we are always beyond thankful for each other.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner
- Mike is the most compassionate, loving, encouraging and giving man I know. Not only to myself but every being around him.
- He inspires me everyday with how hard he works for our future. He never complains and prides himself on everything he does.
- I’ve never felt so beautiful and loved by anyone else in the world.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I hadn’t been a girl that dreamt of wedding or dresses but once I was engaged I knew I wanted something very elegant and sleek. I had my sisters send me photos of different styles of dresses and decided to take a look on Instagram. The Georgie was the dress that jumped off their feed! I fell in love straight away! I kept looking at other dresses and tried on a couple until my appointment with MWL. The instant I put on the dress I knew it was the one! I loved the delicate buttons down the back and how beautifully it sat on me. My sister said it looked like it was made for me. I just had to have it!
Who proposed and how?
Our birthday weekend (yes ours! We are a date apart) we decided to have a beach escape in Casuarina. The day of Mike’s birthday I asked him what he would like to do today. He wanted a simple beach day, we both love the beach so I thought it was perfect. He had just brought a drone and decided the beach was the perfect place to practice his skills! So we headed down to the sand. He set up his drone to fly and told me he wanted to see if it would follow us along the water. He asked if I would stand down by the waters edge and wait for him. A few minutes later with a drone buzzing above us he held y hand and walked a few steps, spun me around and then went down on one knee……. It was such a surprise! I said yes of course!! He says it was the best day of his life.
What was the best moment for you at the wedding?
The best moment was when I locked eyes with Mike at the end of the aisle once I had stepped into the church.
What surprised you most at or about your wedding?
We served plant based food at our wedding and I was worried how most people would feel about the situation! All I got was compliments how amazing the food and cake was!
What advice would you tell other brides?
Just to relax, try to take in every moment of the day! Enjoy the experience because it flies by so quickly!!
