How did you meet?
Our mutual friends set us up on a Taco Tuesday double date. If you ask my husband he thinks it went flawlessly but it was actually a mild disaster. Luckily, he was persistent and date #2 was much better!
When did you know they were the one?
I realize I loved Ryan when we went to our first festival together. It was in May 2014 at the Sasquatch Music Festival in Washington. Music festivals can be trying for a relationship especially when camping but Ryan was so easy going and we spent the weekend running around, drinking tall boys, eating chicken fingers and listening to our favorite music. I remember while we were watching Outkast, belting the lyrics to Roses, thinking that Ryan was a pretty special guy.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner
My partner is down to earth, loyal and he makes me laugh!
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
Ever since I got engaged I have always admired MWL – the Frankie always stood out to me because of the intricate lace and beautiful train. Once I tried it on I knew it was the one.
Who proposed and how?
We were on a trip visiting his family in Hawaii and made plans to stand up paddle board to a small island off the coast. Unfortunately, it started pouring rain and due to the wind (and my lack of upper body strength) I was being pushed in the opposite direction. Ryan to the rescue, gave me his leash and paddled me all the way out to the island. The weather cleared and he proposed to me on the island.
Where did you go to Honeymoon?
Our honeymoon in Costa Rica was nothing less than an adventure. We went ATVing through the jungle, got caught in thunderstorms, surfed everyday, hiked to waterfalls and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets.
