Ashley + Kyren

How did you meet?

We actually met on Tinder while we were both at college. He was the quarterback of the football team and I was doing the sorority thing- if it wasn’t for Tinder we probably would never have crossed paths!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

I love how he knows what I need before I even have to ask. He is so thoughtful and truly the rock of our family.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew Kyren was the one when he asked me to come meet his parents & family in Phoenix (a 2 hour drive from our college). We had plans to go to a baseball game and his mom poured us some shots before the game- that’s when I knew he was the one! I hit the jackpot with Kyren and his family for sure!

Who proposed and how?

Kyren proposed to me in Monterrey, California while on a family golf trip. It was a complete surprise and he pulled it off seamlessly! We took a drive along the beautiful seaside and at the last lookout, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of his life with him. It was private, intimate and absolutely perfect.

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

The best moment was taking a drive in the Corvette straight after saying ‘I do”. We got to spend a few minutes just driving around the neighborhood & enjoying the first blissful moments as husband and wife. I’m so happy we were able to sneak away and take that time for ourselves. It was something I think every newlywed couple should prioritize on their wedding day.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I first tried Georgie on at Bella Lilly Bridal in Phoenix, Arizona. I was starting to get overwhelmed with the sheer amount of wedding dresses available but I could not stop thinking about the Georgie gown. She was timeless, simple and really let the bride shine.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Do what feels right for you & your partner. There is so much beautiful inspiration out there and pressure from social media, friends, family etc. but it’s so important to stick to your gut and trust yourself in every aspect of wedding planning.

What was one thing you did differently for your wedding?

We had to pivot more than a few times due to COVID and a (happy) surprise baby on the way. We ultimately decided the best thing for us was to rent a private VRBO and host a very small wedding for our family and finally tie the knot after postponing our wedding twice! We plan on having a big party once the world returns to normal and after we welcome our baby girl into the world!
