Ashlee + Brent

How did you meet?

We used to work together & occasionally kept in touch. Randomly 8 months later we sent each other a snap chat and had a conversation lasting a week. We decided to meet up and after that we knew we had a strong connection. On the second meet up Brent said I will marry you one day…. And so he did 4 years later.

When did you know they were the one?

We knew very early on. We had similar values, and very much enjoy spending quality time with family & I just fancied him like crazy.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Brent really respects me, he will always put our family above all else and really works hard so we can do more things together with our children.

Who proposed and how?

Brent proposed to me in the Lake District, we went for a walk and he took me to a place called surprise view,
Got down on one knee and asked me there.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I went to a few places first but nothing seemed to be right. Then another store recommended me Marrime in Jesmond, the girls were amazing there. I tried Archie, Louie & Harry. Harry was definitely the one. I had taken my brother and we both smiled he’d at Harry and I knew there it was 10000% the one.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I had 2 I had a moment with my maid of honor… before we took up to the aisle my song started to play and she was at the front of the queue ready to walk down the aisle she turned to me filled with tears and we just had an eye catch moment together. My equally best moment was at the signing table with my two boys and new Husband. It was just magical

What were your favorite details?

Everything was just so dreamy, we got married in a modern rustic barn, my son gave me away who is only 8, having my nana there to watch me, marrying my one true love, and my dress was classic. We had a saxophonist in the evening which was absolutely incredible

What advice would you tell other brides?

Invest in the dress, the food, and the music. Go for everything you dreamed of. It’s memories that last a lifetime.

Our photographer was second to none, Ladybird Photography a gentleman called Eftal was unbelievable. My make-up artist Alexandra, the venue hidden river barn, and our two wedding coordinators Gill & Robyn.
