Ariane + Jake

How did you meet?

Jake and I met at a bar in the happenin’ town of Hoboken. It was a Sunday afternoon and each of us hit the town with our group of friends. When I caught a glimpse of Jake I immediately thought he was extremely handsome and started to plot how I’d get to chatting with him. Not long after that first moment of eye contact was Jake holding a plate of chicken fingers while we shared our first “meal” together.

When did you know they were the one?

Family and friends are my main priority in life. I knew Jake was the one when he met my family and friends and treated each one like they were his own.

Who proposed and how?

Jake and I took up skiing quickly after we started dating. It became something we loved to do together and we looked forward to spending time together on the mountain. Jake got down on one knee on the top of a mountain in Vermont.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

One Sunday after being down at the beach all weekend my sister and I decided to venture out to some local bridal stores. We were so pleasantly surprised when we walked into Abigail Bride in Asbury Park, NJ. It was a home-like vibe and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. As soon as I put on Stevie I knew it was the one for me. The luxurious lace and bone colored detail was exactly what I had dreamed of. The dress matched me as a person and made me feel beautiful.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Right after the ceremony when all our family and bridal parties convened in the bridal suite. Each person with a huge smile on their face and hugging one another. This was such a joyous moment.
