Anna + Cole

How did you meet?

We met on a dating website and immediately hit it off. We actually lived in the same town for years and probably have seen each other numerous times before but we like to think we met at the perfect time.

When did you know they were the one?

On the first date. We couldn’t stop talking the entire date and I never wanted it to end. We didn’t see each other for a couple weeks after our first date and he’s all I could think about.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Maturity, empathy and his humor.

Who proposed and how?

He proposed to me, we went on a trip to visit my brother and his wife in Utah. We went to Antelope Island and he proposed to me in a field in front of the beautiful snowy mountains and free range Buffalo were running behind us in the fields. Utah is one of my favorite places and it means even more to me now.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I went to 3 different bridal shops, the first place they had nothing that was giving me the ‘it’ girl feeling. The second place I went to I tried on the majority of MWL gowns and I knew I wanted one of your dresses but I was told to wait a little bit because sometimes there’s new designs and I still had a little over a year before I needed to get one. I was on Instagram and saw Ryder and absolutely fell in love with how untraditional it is compared to everything else I had seen before. I made an appointment at the third shop whom had Ryder, I tried it on first and immediately felt like a bride and felt so beautiful.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Walking down the aisle. I knew all the hard work I put into planning the wedding paid off and I didn’t need to stress about anything anymore because him and I are all that mattered after that moment. Having my husband turn around to see me for the first time about to become his wife was such an emotional moment. I don’t think their was a dry eye during that moment.

What were your favourite details?

The venue was perfect. It was all outside in the middle of the woods in Ohio. There were swans, little sparkling lights everywhere, the old rv that was made into a bar. Everything was such a modern rustic feel and I didn’t need to add much decoration because the venue was perfect. The other thing was my reception, my husband and I were on the dance floor the whole night. We had silly sunglasses and glow sticks we handed out to everyone and everybody was dancing and singing.

What advice would you tell other brides?

The day goes incredibly fast!! I heard this the entire time I was wedding planning and I didn’t believe it but they’re right. Don’t stress yourself out about certain things, at the end of the day your guests are there for you both and if they don’t like how you did something they can leave. I knew the day of my wedding I didn’t want to hear if something went wrong because there’s no point to freak out about it. As long as my fiancé was standing at the end of the aisle that’s all I cared about.

Any standout vendors?

My photographer was amazing! We had a Photo Booth, highlight film and she took so many amazing pictures all night. Of course our venue, it’s a new venue and they have the makings of an incredible wedding spot.
