How did you meet?

I did a 4 month working holiday snow season in Falls Creek as a ski lift attendant. Jon and I were first years together, he was from Perth and I from Adelaide. After only 3 months together once the snow season was over he moved to Adelaide for me to take a chance on us. 10 years later we now live in Perth and are married!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

The Georgie V2 lace had just come out and I fell in love with the lace! And already knew the shape suited my figure if it were to be in the higher back option. My mum adored it too and it was a no-brainer. I actually never saw the lace in person until I got it delivered.

Who proposed and how?

6 yrs into our relationship. He proposed on a balmy night at sunset on the beach & on my birthday. We were on holiday in Indonesia at the time and everything was just bliss. He put so much effort into designing my ring, it means the world to me how much love and effort he put into the decision.

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

The ceremony. Our celebrant kept the whole ceremony reading as a surprise and it was just so emotional and gorgeous. Reading or vows to each other for the first time was also so special. My husbands were so detailed and beautiful, its my favourite thing to read now!

What surprised you most at or about your wedding?

How good I felt and how much we both soaked the whole day & night in.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Its so important to let everyone you’ve hired just do their thing and sit back and enjoy it all! Trust the research you did months before hand. You’re in good hands!

What was the one thing you did differently for your wedding?

Short amount of time for bridal party photos so they could enjoy the reception. Had a cocktail reception with lawn games and photobooth – everyone was either dancing or playing! We didn’t do anything traditional that we didn’t believe in.
