Alice + Jordan

How did you meet?

Jordan and I met at University back in 2013, when I was on a themed night dressed as a chicken. He was the club promoter at the time and the rest is history.

When did you know they were the one?

It really was love at first sight, definitely for me anyway as I peered at him through my chicken mask. He probably thought I was a bit strange at the time. So for Jordan it probably wasn’t love at first sight, maybe the second time he saw me dressed like normal person.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Jordan is so caring, funny and spontaneous. He has really bought me out of my shell and made me who I am today.

Who proposed and how?

Jordan proposed whilst we were in Copenhagen back in February 2020. It was a lovely moment on a hotel balcony before we went to a Liam Gallagher gig.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress at Bride.KC and when I put it on I just knew that this dress was meant to be.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for me at our wedding was in the church saying our vows. It was such an intimate moment surrounded by our family and friends.

What were your favourite details?

Flowers. I just love fresh flowers. We had a combination of white, ivory and foliage for a classic and crisp look.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Enjoy every second. Planning a wedding and everything in between can be very stressful and overwhelming. But try to enjoy it, as it really does go so quickly. Take time out on your big day also, to spend time with your new husband/wife. Step back and take in all of your surroundings.

Any standout vendors?

Our florist was absolute fantastic, Michaella Wood at House of Blooms. Beautiful flowers and such a lovely lady.
Our venue also, the Exeter Arms. The guys were fantastic with making our day so perfect. Nothing was too much trouble.
