Lora + Jeremy

How did you meet?

We met through a mutual friend whilst at a post event “after party” at Candys Apartment in King Cross! (so seedy ha ha)

How did you know he was the one?

After 4 months of dating I attended the wedding of his brother and at that wedding watching his brother get married I realised he was the one. I knew in that moment I wanted to marry Jeremy.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Jez is the kindest, most caring and humble person I know. he is always playing down his achievements whilst totally celebrating everyone else’s. He cares so much for his friends and family and is always putting everyone else first.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had seen the Sienna on the MWL instagram and absolutely adored it. I was so sure that’s the dress I wanted. I booked fittings at other boutiques “just in case” but the day we went dress shopping I secretly just wanted to get out of the other places so we could get to MWL and see the Sienna in person.

Who proposed and how?

Jez proposed to me, at Rushcutters Bay after a dinner of Burgers and Ice-cream in Paddington. We went down to the bay for a walk (it was also the place of our first date) and he dropped a knee and popped the question

What was the best moment for you at the wedding?

Our vows. We wrote our own wedding vows and hearing Jeremy’s to me was so special. It was the perfect mix of heart felt, silly, funny and loving.

What surprised you most at or about your wedding

How fast the time goes! The morning felt like it was dragging on as we had a 4.30pm ceremony and I couldn’t get there fast enough – but once I got out the car at the venue its like everything was in fast forward!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Soak it all in! And as much as possible, keep making your way back to your husband! The day is all about the two of you. With all the friends and family present some who you haven’t seen in a while its easy to spend the whole night chatting and getting separated – but really try to keep finding your way back to each other so you can enjoy it all together. And make sure you get to enjoy some time on the D-Floor!

What was the one thing you did differently for your wedding?

We cut our cake straight after our ceremony, and we didn’t actually eat the cake. We had a Donut wall and Lolly buffet full of candy and chocolates for our dessert! The Donut wall was a HUGE HIT and people were able to dance and mingle and eat their donut and candy!
