How did you meet?

We used to work at a restaurant called Joey Barlow together.

When did you know they were the one?

He was very quickly someone I couldn’t imagine not being in my life anymore. I knew I loved him within weeks!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He has an absolute heart of gold. He’s so approachable and outgoing. He makes me feel like the most confident women ever.

Who proposed and how?

My husband proposed the day we were able to leave our home after having Covid… he planned an amazing date day and I truly thought nothing of it as we had done nothing for two weeks! It was just us, at a pretty look out in causal clothes. It was perfect.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I had known I wanted the Lola dress before I had even tried on another dress. It was timeless, modern, understated and was exactly what I wanted.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our ceremony was absolutely perfect. Basically every person was crying and that’s exactly what we wanted. We wanted everyone to feel the love we shared for each other!

What were your favourite details?

We put our a pair of heels for a family member that had passed away many years ago.. her seat was saved in the front row. We also had a legacy of love, this showcased all the marriages in our family before ours! The whole day was absolutely perfect and I could talk about every little detail.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Just know that it is one day, a couple hours of your life. Enjoy the year leading up to it. Don’t stress to much about the day, at the end of the day it’s about two people joining together.. not the flowers. Lastly, have everything sorted a couple days before the wedding, those days are so special and should be stress free!

Any standout vendors?

I absolutely adore my videographer and photographer! They are actually getting married in May of 2023! But I just have nothing but good things to say about them. If you are in the Calgary area, checking them out is a must.
