How did you meet?

We met through a mutual friend. My friend saw Chad and immediately knew he was my type and tried to set up a date. It was his dreamy blue eyes, dark hair and tattoo’s for me! We went out for dinner & drinks and the rest was history!

When did you know they were the one?

It didn’t take long for me to fall head over heels! I knew he was IT for me from the start. Every morning, birthday, milestone – didn’t matter the day, I wanted him to be my life partner. Every time I imagined my future, he was a part of it. Every step of the way, forever and always.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Apart from his dreamy looks because that’s just a given, he is the most gentle, sensitive and thoughtful man to ever exist. He never misses an opportunity to do the small things for me, make me laugh every single day and always puts me first.

Who proposed and how?

My Husband proposed to me leading up to moving into our first home together. He organized a romantic picnic but made a quick stop on the lot of our new home where I found roses and champagne waiting for us. He then got down on one knee and it was an immediate YES.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Archie was one of the first dresses I saved on my Pinterest board – immediate obsession! Luckily, I found out Archie was available at Revelle in Ottawa, Canada. I tried on a handful of dresses but the moment I put Archie on, I felt like a princess! The elegance of the dress and timelessness, low back and buttons were it for me. The dress really speaks for itself and I knew then and there that I couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle wearing this beautiful gown.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment was seeing my Husband waiting for me at the alter. His expression, enthusiasm and smile made me absolutely melt.

What were your favourite details?

I’ve always loved the old Hollywood style so we decided to go with a classic black and white theme wedding with baby’s breath and white roses. I loved the elegance yet simplicity of it all! Dreamy and romantic.

What advice would you tell other brides?

All that truly matters is that you are marrying your best friends. The rest is just fluff so don’t lose sight of what actually matters if something goes off plan. Chances are, no one even noticed anyway.

Any standout vendors?

Absolute dream team! Couldn’t have asked for a better Wedding Planner, Michael Donovan at WEDECOR. He made our dream a reality and so much more. He took care of us from start to finish.

Our photographers, Joelle & Guy Martin at Studio GR Martin – made us feel like models all day long!

Lastly, Christina from Valentina Sweets made us the dreamiest cake and dessert table. She has been a go-to for sweets at all our events and is such a beautiful soul inside and out!
