Rebecca + Daniel

How did you meet?

We met through mutual friends, although he had slid into my DM’s a few months previously and didn’t get very far. As soon as we met we got on really well and I just thought wow this is meant to be.

When did you know they were the one?

When we went on a trip travelling around Italy together I knew he was the one. We had the best holiday and I knew I wanted to see the rest of the world with him. This is why Italy is special to us and we chose to go back here for our wedding.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Confident
Driven
Handsome

Who proposed and how?

Daniel proposed to me on a trip to Florence. We went up to Piazzale Michelangelo to watch the sunset, he took me to a quiet place away from the crowds and asked me to marry him. It was perfect, better than I’d ever dreamed.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

It was the second time I had visited the MWL London boutique, I had gone back to try a different dress for the second time. I saw the Harlie Tulle hanging up on the rail and loved the fabric, as soon as I put it on I knew this was the dress I had to wear. I loved that it wasn’t your typical white wedding dress and was a little bit different. The fact it was being discontinued made it even more special to me, like I found it just in time.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

The best moment for me was when I said my vows to Daniel and saw all the emotion on his face. He’s not normally an emotional person so this meant so much to me.

What were your favourite details?

The setting of our ceremony was in an old monks cloister on the Amalfi coast, it was beautiful, when I first saw this venue I couldn’t imagine having my wedding anywhere else.

I absolutely loved my flowers, flowers are very important to me and they were everything I dreamed of.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Not everything will go exactly as you planned but your day will still be perfect so don’t dwell on it!

Any standout vendors?

My photographer Emma-Jane Lewis was unreal, she knew how to get the best shots from two people who were not used to being in front of a camera. I love how our pictures turned out.
