Nichole + Aaron

How did you meet?

We originally met in 2012 our freshmen year of college at the University of Idaho. We were friends all four years and got closer our senior year and ultimately began dating in 2016 after we graduated and moved to the same city for work.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew he was the one when he became my all-time best friend. Partnership and friendship are the most important attributes to me in a relationship and he became my number one person I trusted more than anyone else and was the person I could be 100% myself around from the very beginning.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

My three favorite attributes about Aaron are his humor and ability to make me laugh every day, his dedication to both his and my success in life, and the love and kindness he shows our friends and family.

Who proposed and how?

Aaron proposed to me in December of 2021 during our annual family vacation to Cabo, Mexico. It happened on the first day when we all went down for a walk on the beach and I was taking a picture (or I thought I was) and my sister told me to turn around and he was on one knee! To be honest, I completely blacked out on what he actually said while proposing but it was the easiest yes ever.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I got my dress from Bespoke Bride and fell in love immediately. In fact, before my dress appointment they asked for some dress inspiration pictures and I sent them a picture of Ryder without knowing they carried the dress and surprised me with it at my appointment. Once I put it on it was a done deal and an immediate yes!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

My favorite part of our wedding day was being surrounded by so much love by the people who are most important to us. We truly had the best day ever and wouldn’t be where we are without our friends and family. We love a good party and dance floor!

What were your favourite details?

My wedding vision was always about simplicity with impact. It was very minimal but the small details made a big statement. For example, my favorite small detail was my processional song, “I Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Kina Grannis, in which we planned the entrance perfectly so I stepped into the aisle during the most dramatic part of the song. It seemed simple but it literally felt like a move and people said they cried just because of the perfect timing. 🙂

What advice would you tell other brides?

Do what you love and forget the rest. Don’t worry about the expectations of others and plan your perfect day. Don’t like fancy dinners? Do a food truck (we did). Don’t want to do a grand entrance, don’t (we didn’t). The people who love you will appreciate a day about you and the more personal the better.

Any standout vendors?

Our photographer and videographer were unreal and so talented. They really catered their service to our wants and needs and helped execute our day perfectly!
