How did you meet?
We matched on a well known dating website but never actually met up. We then bumped in to each other on a night out. We have been inseparable ever since. Six years later, countless holidays a house and a baby we became husband and wife.
When did you know they were the one?
The very first night we met. We just clicked. I’ve never felt that with anyone before. We just knew. He felt like he had and always should have been there.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
He is very romantic, like the old fashioned kind.
He is very caring and looks after his loved ones.
He is so much fun, we laugh everyday.
Who proposed and how?
He proposed in Ibiza. Long story short.. he ended up in the back of an ambulance because he had a panic attack. The next day after we had both calmed down he proposed while we watched the moat beautiful sunset.
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
I drove all the way up to Portishead. Its about 2 hours from my house. It was the wildcard choice as I had my eye on something lacey. I put Jordaan on and everyone in the shop made me feel so special. I’d never put something on my body that fitted so well. It just felt right.
What was the best moment for you at your wedding?
We got married in Devon and the venue having its own private beach, we prayed for good weather. We were lucky enough to have a heatwave! The whole day was perfect. Taking time out to watch the sunset with my new hubby with nobody else around was one of my favourite moments. Myself, my husband and bridesmaids all went in the sea (in our dresses). Our guests couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The day was so relaxed and we all had so much fun.
What were your favourite details?
My favourite details were the whicker fans and sun umbrellas that I gave to guests. They came in handy in the heat and looked amazing in pictures.
What advice would you tell other brides?
Don’t stress about the little things. The day goes so fast. Enjoy every moment. Things will go wrong but nobody will know but you, and to be honest you are so busy, you don’t even realise that things haven’t gone exactly to plan anyway.
