Mollie + Trevor

How did you meet?

Trevor and I met through mutual friends who matched on Tinder and ended up not working out but, set us up in the process.

We were first introduced at a college bar where Trevor walked up and shook my hand. We talked, had a drink, and then went our separate ways for the night. When my friends asked me how it went I said, “if he’s interested, he’ll find me.” And, he did. We started dating 10 days later.

When did you know they were the one?

I had to move away for a year to get my master’s degree. Having to spend that year apart made me realize I never wanted to do that again.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

His heart – he is such a kind soul and will do anything to make others happy.
His humor – he makes even the worst dad jokes funny.
His attentiveness – he is always watching me and making mental notes of things that make me smile.

Who proposed and how?

I had been impatiently hinting at a proposal for a while but Trevor kept saying, “I have a plan”. And, he really did.

One weekend we went back to my hometown in Nebraska. I grew up in a big old house and our morning routine is to get up and sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee. So, early the next day, when it was just the two of us rocking on the front porch swing (which is my favorite spot in the world), Trevor got down on one knee. The rest of the day was filled with surprises as friends flew in from all over the country. There were tears, laughter, and lots of drinks!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

Rhylan Lang in Omaha, Nebraska!

I initially saw MWL’s Andy dress on Pinterest and saved it right after our engagement. I went to a few bridal shops and tried on dresses of similar styles but they were never quite right. I knew I had to try on the Andy dress or I just couldn’t make a decision. I saw that Rhylan Lang carried Made With Love, set an appointment and the rest is history.

Her sleek silhouette, square neckline, and subtle sparkle were the perfect mix of elegance and party.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Finally seeing Trevor.

I was so nervous and anxious the entire morning leading up to the wedding. Before our first look, I kept saying, “I just need to see Trevor.” Once we were together, all the nerves went away.

What advice would you tell other brides?

Take a moment at some point in the day to look around the room because never again will all those people be in the same place.

This advice was given to Trevor and me before our wedding and it really hit home. We had people in attendance from every side of the country (literally California, Maine, Texas, and Alaska) who travelled all that way just for us.
