How did you meet?

At a mutual friend’s 18th birthday party. We were introduced by his best friend who was a close uni friend.

When did you know they were the one?

Not one specific moment but from all the little actions and big adventures we’ve had together!

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

– Very patient
– Empathetic
– Supportive

Who proposed and how?

He proposed during lockdown in our apartment with a treasure hunt around the place and a self-made puzzle made from post-it notes. We love escape rooms so he tried to replicate that challenge that I love.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I saw this dress online and had to try it. I made sure it was the last of the 5 I tried on the day. After I was happy with it, we played around with accessories!

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our wedding dance. We choreographed a technical dance together and made it in 3 weeks. We didn’t have a single practice session that was perfect, but we absolutely nailed it on the night with our family and friends cheering us on!

What were your favourite details?

– Having my brothers and friends play in a newly formed band for a day just for our exit walk
– Having white confetti showered over us as we walked out
– Our first dance that we choreographed together
– The moment post cake-cut where the two drunk groomsmen carried our cake on the high table, still on the cake stand. It fell and my brother caught it before it hit the grass.
– Jumping into the pool at night with 20 friends

What advice would you tell other brides?

– Enjoy the day, don’t sweat the small stuff
– Plan as much as you can before the day
– Delegate someone to make decisions on the day when things go wrong
– Take a day or two off before the wedding day and after
– Take a moment during the night to have a quick 5min with your new spouse to soak it all in
