Megan + Jackson

How did you meet?

We meet when we were both 17 years old, both went to different high schools. But I was attending Jackson after ball ( like the party after the school dance). We both had been messaging as he’s brother and girlfriend were trying to set us up. At the after ball we both were running through i paddock when Jackson yelled out Megan it that you. After that night we spent so many summer evenings together at the beach and rivers it was young love that blossomed so strong. We didn’t long distance well I went to uni then moved to Australia for 7 years to moving home this year.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

Megan
– Infectious bubbly personality
– Caring
– Happy

Jackson
– supportive
– sense of humour
– motivated

Who proposed and how?

Jackson proposed in the love cabin in the Blue Mountains just after my birthday, we had been together 10 plus years so I would be lying if I said I didn’t see it coming. But it was so romantic, Jackson did so well.

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

The Made with Love boutique in Sydney was on my hit list, but I was waiting for my best friend to come visit from overseas so I went to a couple of other bridal stores. When I went to Mwl Sydney I think I could of left with any dress they were all beautiful, but my bestie Laura started crying when I was in the Carla and I felt so beautiful in it and it hugged my bum which I knew Jackson would love.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

Our ceremony was totally not what we had planned as it was our 3rd attempt to get married as covid cancelled our 1st two wedding plans. Originally we were meant to get married in Bali, then a huge wedding back in our home town but we needed up having an intimate ceremony in the Abel Tasman which was just perfect, amazing weather for October and so relax. My best moment was standing next to my to be husband on the boat picking a beach together to tie the knot.

What were your favourite details?

I love all the lace details and the low back!

What advice would you tell other brides?

Things can go totally different to your dream wedding but just go with it and on the day don’t do anything or stress about little details just enjoy the amazing day you planned and smile.

Any standout vendors?

Everyone! We honestly had the best vendors, after changing from a big wedding to a small wedding they all were so supportive and made everything work.

My mum couldn’t make our wedding due to being stuck in Australia which was super emotional on the day, but Renee our photographer sent me heaps of photos to send to my mum straight after, which lead to my mum calling me in tears. Renee photos allowed my mum to feel about of my day.
