How did you meet?

We met at a punk-pop concert in 2016.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew very early on that he was someone special to me. He has always been so thoughtful, caring, and kind. I had a feeling on our first date.

What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?

He is calm, kind, and funny.

Who proposed and how?

He proposed on a private pier at the beach near where we live in NC. I knew it was coming sometime and needed a COVID activity, so I had been wedding planning and he told me there was a house I had to see for my bachelorette party. So, we went to go “see” it. Once we got there, he wanted to check out the neighborhood’s private pier. We walked out to an area where it beveled out and he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. When we got back to his parent’s house, his mom had a surprise family engagement party waiting for us!

Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?

I fell in love with my dress at Coastal Knot Bridal in Raleigh, NC, but actually ended up buying in your sample sale! I love the Carlie because it combines a sexy-but-sophisticated silhouette with such a fun element of the 3D floral lace. Plus, I love a good MWL crepe skirt.

What was the best moment for you at your wedding?

I think the best moment at my wedding was seeing my husband waiting for me at the end of the aisle. Dancing with my grandpa is a close second though.

What were your favourite details?

I loved my florals! They were so beautiful and exceeded my wildest floral dreams for my day!

What advice would you tell other brides?

It’s cliché, but it really does go by so quickly. Take lots of behind-the-scenes photos to get you through until the professional ones are back. Don’t sweat the small things, because your day will perfect with or without them.
