Lucy + Andy
How did you meet?
Tinder in London in 2015.
When did you know they were the one?
When I realised he had an alarm on his phone to make me a coffee every day.
What are your three favourite attributes of your partner?
That he is the nicest person, and gets on with every one
Who proposed and how?
Andy proposed to me. Over the pandemic Andy was rushed into hospital for emergency surgery and it was touch and go. This cemented our decision to get married. So he had originally planned to go to Marrakech but with international travel off the cards he booked a weekend in Bournemouth however we were soon plunged back into lockdown so a trip to the local park and a Chinese take away did the job!
Where did you fall in love with your dress and why?
Ivy and white in Lisburn, Northern Ireland
What was the best moment for you at your wedding?
I loved walking up the aisle in the beautiful Glens of Antrim with my dad. The scenery is so stunning and it had rained non stop all week and I had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony so I was thrilled when it came together.
What were your favourite details?
I loved the super bright flowers against the simple archie!
What advice would you tell other brides?
That the things that go wrong make the wedding!
After I walked down the aisle it did rain and we had to continue inside. Which was my worst nightmare. But it was actually lovely as I got to redo my entrance but this time with Andy and all our guests huddled together which made it very intimate but also relaxed and we had a good laugh.
Any standout vendors?
Our Humanist Celebrant Fleur Mellor did a fantastic job of telling our story exactly how we wanted it.
I also have to shout out Victoriana Floral for the beautiful flowers and our DJ – Bespoke Music Solutions absolutely killed the music. We danced to Queen and Britney and it was perfect.
